OBOJIMA
2025 - PresentI am currently a part of the Obojima design team! Obojima is a D&D adventure setting that is inspired by Studio Ghibli… providing players with a whimsical fantasy world to get lost in. (and yes, D&D is still a thing.)
I get to work on a wide variety of projects. I make all of our marketing assets, as well as products like: dice, journals, dm screens, enamel pins and all the packaging to go along with those products.
Custom Mystery Dice Packaging
The fun of this project was creating the stacked, dynamic type to communicate the ‘1 set of dice, 1 sticker and 1 pin’ message. The project also included a 6 pack bag and an 18 pack box.
The challenge with this project was finding art that could be simplified and have its background colors removed so that the foreground colors could be isolated. This allows the figures in the art to really shine through.

Custom Dice Wraps and Molds
We recently released our Obojima custom mystery dice, which meant that we needed sets of dice featuring art from Obojima. This presented many design challenges, such as finding art that was able to reduce down small enough to fit on a dice face and getting designs to wrap around the edges of complex dielines. I created two different designs for resin and acrylic molded dice, as well as three designs for printed wrapped dice.
Enamel Pins
Translating art to enamel pins is never easy… the process is very time intensive as you convert the art from its original format.
For those who are interested in that process: The colors must be separated with strokes between different enamel colors. Those strokes have to be above the minimum stroke size. Any gaps in the artwork must be above the minimum size or filled in with black. All the colors must be converted to Pantone and the art must be presented in its actual desired size.
