milk slap

This branding project is made for the coffee drinker that doesn’t really like coffee. Using flowing hand lettering and creamy color palettes, the visual identity brings smooth, dreamy vibes to the high-energy coffee aisle.

process work

For this project, I started with sketching out the hand lettering aspect as well as some decorative spots. I then scanned in the lettering and used Adobe Illustrator to create a vector graphic. I started out with just the MILK lettering and after receiving feedback, I lettered SLAP by hand as well. I also removed the illustration of the cow print in my final iterations.

I decided to create a nutrition label instead of using a computer generated one so that I could tailor it to my layout.

The below image was generated with Adobe Firefly's AI image generation software for use in this project.

I experimented with cow print imagery — both digitally rendered and photo realistic — but did not end up moving forward with that direction. I pivoted to imagery of milk and coffee swirling together but struggled to find what I was looking for so I used Adobe Firefly to generate the exact image I needed.
